Everyone wants a perfect white smile. It’s easier to achieve for some, but for various reasons harder for others. One of the biggest roadblocks for some getting white teeth is the high sensitivity of their teeth. Teeth Whitening treatments can be painful or irritating to some who have sensitive teeth. According to HealthDay News, a new survey from U.S. Dental offices finds that one in eight people have over-sensitive teeth. For people who want bright white smiles while needing extra protection against Sporting Smiles offers a solution.

Less-Potent Whitening Gel
Sensitive teeth can become affected by the strength of the whitening gel. Sporting Smiles offers three different types of whitening gels. For customers who do not have sensitive teeth, Sporting Smiles has a 35% Teeth Whitening Bleaching Gel. This gel is the strongest we offer and will be the most aggressive gel to whiten your teeth. For those who want a less-potent gel, we carry 22% Carbamide Peroxide Bleaching Gel. This gel is thick with a high-viscosity formula that will prevent it from moving in the tray. This is another safety measure to minimize gum irritation. Our carbamide peroxide gel contains propylene glycol, kosher glycerine, hydrogen peroxide, carbomer, peppermint essential oil, and triethanolamine. Do not apply for more than 20 minutes to avoid over-whitening. When trying to remove deep stains from your teeth, we do not recommend whitening your teeth for longer than 10 minutes if you have sensitive teeth.
Desensitizing Gel
Aside from the whitening gel, Sporting Smiles offers big help for teeth whitening for sensitive teeth. Our customers can purchase teeth remineralization gel and desensitizing gel with their orders. These gels allow the enamel to actively remineralize itself in the presence of fluorides, calcium, and phosphate. This gel is meant to be applied in the custom bleaching trays after the use of the teeth whitening gel. It will strengthen tooth enamel, and remineralize small invisible lesions. For best results, use for five minutes after teeth whitening treatments have been completed.
Sporting Smiles understands that teeth whitening for sensitive teeth can be a trial and error process to find out what combo works best. We recommend buying the teeth remineralization and desensitizing gels along with the 22% bleaching gel to start. Teeth Whitening is a long process and you can always increase the strength of your whitening gel if you feel comfortable.
