Do you have your own molds? SportingSmiles accepts molds from new customers who have 3D Printed, Plaster or Stone Molds. We will accept 3D printed, plaster, or stone molds if you have them and opt not to choose our impression kit. When we receive your molds, they will automatically be scanned into our 3D system and saved on file for life. This means you’ll be able to reorder from SportingSmiles whenever you’d like.
Own models are fragile and frail, there’s a high chance that they may become damaged in the process of working with them so to avoid that we have our lab scan them in. We will work off the scanned molds to avoid cracking, breaking, or damaging the molds and ship them back to you once the process of scanning them in is complete.
If there is ever a warranty issue, we will then be able to use the scanned molds we have on file for you instead of needing your own molds again.
We will automatically send a label to you for you to send your models to us.
For international customers, you will have to ship your molds and pay for the shipping to our lab as our shipping labels do not work outside the United States.

How Long Does It Take to get my retainers? – As soon as we receive your molds it will take around 7-10 business days to craft the retainers. Shipping is 2-4 business days. International shipping can be a lengthy process. Please be patient when ordering internationally. Processing times are subject to change with orders from holiday sales.

Are your products BPA Free? – Yes! All our products ( plastic retainers, whitening trays, night guards, and mouthguards) are BPA, BPS, DEHP, and latex-free.
Does Sporting Smiles accept HSA or Flex payment options? Yes! You can use your HSA card and if any special invoicing is required Sporting Smiles will work with your insurance company to complete the transaction. Teeth-grinding guards are an excellent choice to spend your HSA account on. Why Does This Cost More Than the Regular Retainers?
When a customer opts to use their own molds it creates more work for our lab team. They will have to manually scan in the molds to work off them to avoid any issues with breaking the real models. We will scan the models with our software which can take a few hours to accurately copy the models because not all models are the same. Some are stone, 3D printed, or plaster, and because of this, the time to scan them varies. Once the models are scanned we will print them and then work off of the printed models. If there is ever a warranty issue, we will then be able to use the scanned molds we have on file for you instead of needing your own molds again. When Will I Get My Return Label?
You will be emailed the return label when our customer service team customizes your return label. Usually, our return labels are printed automatically but with this special label, our team must manually create it and validate it. This can take 24-48 hours. If you order on a Friday, expect your label to be emailed to you on Monday.
Can I add whitening trays to my online retainer order?
Yes, but UPPER AND LOWER IMPRESSIONS ARE REQUIRED!
You will receive enough supplies to make an impression of your upper and lower teeth even though you ONLY ordered 1 upper or 1 lower for your plastic retainer as you WHITEN your upper and lower teeth.
Whitening Trays are made with different materials than the clear retainer. Whitening Bleach can not be used on replacement retainers, only custom whitening trays.
Do I get a warranty? – With any warranties for orders that were crafted using customer molds, we guarantee that the product will fit the molds. If your teeth molds are different from the current position of your teeth, the product may not fit. There’s no warranty/refund on the product fitting your teeth; only the fit on the molds that were provided.
